Remember being a young child waiting eagerly for Christmas morning? The expectation of joy in the mornings as you cheerfully tore the colorful wrapping paper apart to see what awaited you within in the box? It just had to be something good ~ and then you would spend the rest of the day playing with the toys and games and then top it off by showing everything you got to the family and friends who joined in on the festivities. Food, joy, and love were the expectations and on that day, everything seemed magical. Even if your family scene was dysfunctional, the happy flow of expectation was there ~ someplace deep within you.
As we grow up and grow older, we sometimes forget what it is to be childlike and expect the best ~ perhaps because of societal and family conditioning. We let ourselves forget. Perhaps because things didn't turn out the way we wanted them to, we would start to forget to expect the best because we forgot our childhood expectations when we did feel that we deserved the best. Don't despair. You are able to regain that sense of childlike expectancy and, as an adult, consciously create your own magical moments. It just takes a little time on your part. You'll have to bring yourself back in your memories and recall the childlike desire that still resides deep within you. You've just put it on the shelf and forgot about it. The power is ~ and always was ~ there. You do deserve to live the life you always dreamed of. You can have it all. Expect the best! The path lies within this book and all you need to do is take the first step. Are you ready to make your dreams come true? Like the conductor on the Disneyland train would say, “ALL ABOARD!”
